Responsibilities:JOB SUMMARY
The Service Tech 3-Industrial is responsible for repairing, maintaining, diagnosing, testing and performing scheduled inspections on advanced mechanical refrigeration systems and associated equipment throughout the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides preventative and corrective service on refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
- Provides preventative and corrective service on screw, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors.
- Reads blueprints, runs conduit, wires devices, troubleshoots and performs quality control testing.
- Reads and interprets mechanical and electrical drawings and code specifications for determining wiring layouts.
- Trouble-shoots, tests and repairs various electrical systems and power distribution systems to ensure that they are working properly.
- Utilizes construction and fabrication skills.
- Ensures and monitors safe work practices and safety guidelines.
- Be actively involved in all of the elements of the PSM/RMP programs.
- Performs complete inspection with minimal errors.
- Performs upgrades or preventive maintenance to mechanical and electrical control systems.
- Provides informal and formal training for other team members as required.
- Supervises team members.
- Bids jobs as needed.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Training
- High school diploma, GED, or completion from trade program or technical school, required.
- EPA Certification (Type I, II and III).
- All required safety certifications.
Work Experience / Skills
- 3-5 years' work experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration.
- Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience, supermarket stores, industrial chillers and cooling towers.
- Expert knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the refrigeration, HVAC and electrical trade.
- Expert knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC theory and application.
