Lyntegar Electric Cooperative
Company Overview
Established in 1938 as a result of the Rural Electrification Administration's initiative, Lyntegar Electric Cooperative has been a pivotal force in bringing electricity to rural areas across eleven counties in the Lower South Plains of Texas. The cooperative, born from the collaboration of Lynn, Terry, and Garza Counties, was named Lyntegar with its headquarters in Tahoka. With an initial loan from REA, Lyntegar embarked on its mission to illuminate homes, power appliances, and enhance communication services for over 5,900 members and more than 23,000 meters. The cooperative's commitment to rural electrification is underscored by its strategic expansion, including branch offices in Sundown, Lamesa, and Seagraves, ensuring efficient service delivery to its widespread membership.
