Description

Cordelio Power, a wholly owned portfolio company of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, is an independent renewable power producer that develops, owns, and manages renewable power facilities across North America. Job Description 

Position Overview 

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Origination and Structuring, the Manager, Origination and Structuring will be responsible to manage responses to offtake requests for proposals (RFP), load growth research, intercompany coordination, and competitive analysis with a focus on wind, solar and storage projects.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage all aspects of responding to utility, corporate, broker, and industrial RFPs including coordination with subject matter experts across departments. 

  • Create internal reporting related to offtake procurement efforts and trends.

  • Conduct detailed competitive analysis in focus regions. 

  • Understand customer corporate and utility decision-making regarding energy needs, including sustainability targets and resiliency goals.

  • Support as needed on all aspects of contract negotiations and specific contract compliance during transition to asset management.

Skills & Requirements 

  • One to five years’ experience in renewables.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Equivalent experience may be considered.

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

  • Excellent resource, planning, and time management skills.

  • Familiarity with Office 365 environment and applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint).

  • Experience in analytical software is a plus.

  • Experience in utility RFP responses is a plus.

  • Presentation skills and ability to communicate complex issues to leadership in lay-person language and concepts.

  • Basic understanding of legal documents.

  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to scale and take on increasing responsibility as Cordelio grows.

  • Ability to work within a team and associated people skills.

  • Industry experience is desirable, but candidates with relevant functional, rather than industry-specific experience, will also be considered and are encouraged to apply.

Travel Requirements  

  • Up to 40% primarily domestically (U.S. and Canada). Includes travel primarily to customer locations as well as occasionally to company facilities and conferences.

Location 

  • This role is expected to be remotely located but may have the option to relocate to an existing or future U.S. office.

Compensation & Benefits 

  • The compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $170,000 per year. Exact compensation will be determined by Cordelio and depends upon experience.
