This position is in Cargill's agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Boiler Operator III will operate boilers to generate steam for building and production processes using in-depth knowledge, under occasional guidance and assisting others. In this role, you will be responsible for observing pressure, temperature and draft meters across the facility.

Key Accountabilities
- Monitor boiler operation (pressure, temperature and draft meters), including chemistry on water, safety checks and coordination of maintenance activities including logouts tag outs and logouts tag outs and preventative maintenance completion with minimal guidance.
- Record and document maintenance and other boiler related activities.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical problems and provide follow up as required.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly boiler operation checklist with occasional guidance.
- Complete regular preventative boiler maintenance checks with little to no guidance.
- Operate all equipment that is associated with power plant and HRSG operations, in addition to operate computerized and controlled systems in conjunction with departmental operations
- Operate all equipment associated with Raw Water Pre-treatment and Wastewater Treatment Facilities
- Process samples utilizing lab equipment to obtain and record values on a computer spreadsheet and collectsamples for several process areas
- Assist truck drivers with loading or unloading chemicals
- Assist other crush and plant personnel as needed, and perform any other duty as requested by the utilitysupervisor
Qualifications
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4th class Power Engineering Certification or above is required
- Must be willing and able to work 12 hour shifts, including nights, overtime, weekends, holidays and additionalhours beyond regularly scheduled shifts to cover vacancies.
- Strong mathematical, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing,crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Must be computer literate, including being able to enter and retrieve data.
- Possess a valid Canadian Full Class 5 Driver's License in good standing, authorizing you to driveindependently during the course of your employment.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a production or plant environment
