What this job involves:
As a Reliability Technician / Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance of critical facility systems. You'll be responsible for conducting preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on utility equipment including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air compressors, water systems, HVAC systems, generators, electrical substations, and power distribution systems. Working as part of our collaborative team, you'll help shape a brighter way for our clients by maintaining the systems that keep their operations running smoothly. This position empowers you to thrive through hands-on technical challenges while contributing to the overall success of facility operations. You'll work closely with engineering teams and external contractors to protect and enhance client asset value, ensuring that utility systems continue to perform their intended functions with minimal service interruption.
What your day-to-day will look like:
• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on utility systems with minimal building service interruption • Request necessary parts and equipment for repairs, maintenance, or installation of new/repaired equipment • Execute work orders for ongoing preventive response and repair work on mechanical and other installed systems • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that affect occupancy and client operations • Maintain positive client relationships through prompt and courteous response to client requests • Document completed work orders in the CMMS system following GMP documentation practices • Monitor quality of maintenance work performed by external contractors and vendors
Required qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in a similar maintenance position • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams (ventilation, instrumentation, piping, electrical, etc.) • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) • Proficiency with computer systems and work order management systems • Valid driver's license • Comprehensive knowledge of Safe Work practices, especially energized work, work at heights, and confined spaces • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and mitigate or eliminate workplace risks
Preferred qualifications:
• Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance Programs • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional team environments • Familiarity with utility system optimization and energy efficiency practices • Additional technical certifications related to HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems
