Your Role
As a First Class Lineworker, you’ll be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground electric distribution systems. You’ll also support substation operations and respond to outages — ensuring safe, reliable power in all conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, repair, and maintain electric distribution system
Troubleshoot outages and system issues independently or with support
Perform substation and transformer maintenance
Participate in monthly on-call rotation
Maintain records in GIS and process electronic work orders
Mentor and support apprentice lineworkers
Requirements
License Requirements
Certified First Class Lineworker
CDL Class B license (required)
Work Requirements
Must live within one hour of KLPD’s administration building (or relocate within 6 months)
Able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in all weather conditions
Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of the call rotation and outage response.
